Deposit Policy
This page describes our deposit policy in terms of booking appointments. If you make your deposit in person, you will receive a written copy of this policy. If you book by phone or email, this policy will be attached. By paying your deposit online or in the shop, you are stating that you agree to the terms herein.
Deposits must be paid before an appointment will be booked and before any drawing is done. Deposits are not refundable, nor are they transferable between clients. The deposit goes toward the cost of your tattoo and will be applied to the final session of your piece. The purpose of the deposit is to secure your appointment time and cover the artist's time spent preparing your design. In the case of a need to reschedule on your part, your deposit will be carried over to your new appointment if our guidelines are met.
Deposits are non-refundable in all cases and the following will result in forfeiture of your deposit for future appointments:
No call/no show
Less than 24 hours notice of cancellation or reschedule
Tardiness of more than 30 minutes
Rescheduling more than 3 times
Leaving a deposit for 30 days without an scheduling an appointment
Switching artists after a deposit has been paid or appointment has been scheduled
Failure to reschedule a cancelled appointment within 10 days
Arriving to your appointment sunburnt, ill, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, hung over or otherwise unable to be tattooed.
Arriving to your first appointment without valid identification.
Please keep this policy in mind when booking and understand that our shop is very busy and that deposits make our schedule more manageable. Deposits are an indication of your desire to schedule with us and secured appointments guarantee availability.
Design Policy
It is uncommon for the artist to share your design with you prior to the appointment unless special arrangements are made. During your initial consultation, it is important that you are very clear and specific about what and where you would like to get tattooed. If you choose to schedule a second consultation to view the design or make changes, you may, but please understand that any artwork created is the property of the artist and you will not be allowed to take a copy of the design, take a photo of it or be allowed to take it with you in physical or digital form. The artist retains all rights to the design or tattoo, though clients can oppose having photos of the tattoo shared in hard copy or digital portfolios by indicating such on the waiver. If you fail to get your design tattooed for any reason, the artist may post that design for sale to another client, as it is their property.
Artists typically prepare a linework sketch of the design only. A fully rendered, colored piece of art is not usually presented before the tattoo unless specific and special arrangements are made, and in such cases, will be treated as commissioned artwork and billed at the hourly rate as opposed to being included in the cost of the tattoo. We ask our clients to understand that because of time constraints and heavy schedules, we simply do not have time to fully render every design beforehand and that nearly every design will be simple linework without color or shading, done specifically to create a stencil.
