Betty Plato
Betty Plato (aka Texas Betty) is an award-winning tattoo and piercing artist from Austin, TX. After her apprenticeship, Betty began tattooing at American Illustrators Tattoo & Piercing in Harker Heights, TX and will always consider it the birthplace of her tattooing career. She has two decades of experience in the industry and loves to do large color pieces, realism, restorations, cover ups, neo-traditional and traditional style tattoos. She is a lover of all things Rockabilly and considers herself an Atomic Age girl born in the wrong era! Betty also loves to travel and has attended conventions and seminars all over the world. Her work is influenced by some of the greatest tattooists in the world, and she prides herself on her willingness to learn something new everyday.
After opening Bodily Charm Tattoo in south Utica in 2007 and operating for 10 years, Betty found the need to expand. She and Leo remodeled a new and much larger space in the New Hartford Shopping Center and moved Bodily Charm to new heights, adding new, immensely talented artists to the staff and hosting award-winning guest artists from all over the globe.
